Of Note: Schulenburg beat Freer 56-35 in last week’s playoff opener as Owen Brenek threw for five touchdown passes, DaTerrion Houston scored three total touchdowns and Jakele Houston blocked a punt and an extra point ... Mason is led by former Weimar and Giddings coach Wade Griffin, who is in his first year leading the Punchers. Griffin was 3-0 against Schulenburg when he was at Weimar. Mason is coming off a 61-15 win over Marlin in the first round ... Schulenburg beat Mason in the playoffs back in 2021.
