Flatonia’s Win Streak Snapped by Nixon-Smiley
After winning its first two games, Flatonia lost its first football game of the season 47-17 at Nixon-Smiley Friday. The Bulldogs dropped to 2-1 this season while Nixon-Smiley stayed undefeated at 3-0.
Zayden Perez scored both touchdowns for the Bulldogs, one on the ground and one a 30-yard pass from quarterback Jaylon Anderson.
Zayden Perez led the team in rushing with 85 yards, Koren Scott had 37, Jaylon Anderson 29 yards and Nathan Aguillon 23.
Anderson completed three of his 17 attempts Friday for 78 yards with that one TD and one interception.
Lukas Gutierrez had two catches for 48 yards for Flatonia.
Jose Maria Garcia kicked a pair of extra points and a field goal for Flatonia.
Gutierrez led the team in tackles with 18. Carmine Valdez and Alex Castro had nine tackles each.
The Bulldogs host Three Rivers (1-2) this Friday. Three Rivers is coming off a 40-6 loss to La Pryor.
