Flatonia Sweeps Past Kenedy in Three Sets

The Flatonia volleyball team opened the 2A playoffs with a sweep of Kenedy Thursday, winning 25-10, 2512, 25-22.
The Lady Bulldogs now advance to play Thorndale Monday Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. at Giddings High School.
In Thursday’s victory, Summed Sodek led Flatonia in kills with 11. Kat Sullivan had nine and Emma Kosler, Abbie Uzzell and Quinn Arnett each had eight.
Brynlee Zimmerman led in digs with 14. Kosler had 12 digs and Sodek and Sullivan each had 11.
Sodek led in assists with 30 and Sullivan and Zimmerman each had four.
Sullivan and Kosler each had three aces.
