Flatonia Shuts Out Another Opponent, Improving to 2-0

Two weeks into the season and the Flatonia football team had already surpassed its win total from last season.
The Bulldogs (who went 1-9 last year), improved to 2-0 this season with a 27-0 victory at Hallettsville Sacred Heart Friday.
Koren Scott ran for 206 yards and two touchdowns for the Bulldogs.
Sophomore quarterback Jaylon Anderson ran for 39 yards and a touchdown and completed four of his seven passes for 63 yards and a touchdown to Zayden Perez.
Zayden Perez caught two passes for 47 yards and also ran for 29 yards Friday.
Flatonia amassed 354 total yards Friday while limiting Sacred Heart to just 107 yards.
Lukas Gutierrez led Flatonia in tackles with 16 Friday, including a sack.
Adrian Anderson had 12 tackles. Zayden Perez had 11 tackles including a sack.
Flatonia, which has outscored its opponents 71-0 this season plays at Nixon-Smiley this week. Nixon-Smiley is also 2-0 and coming off a 4036 victory over Three Rivers.
