Flatonia Runs Over Three Rivers Thanks for Adrian Anderson’s 4 TDs
The Flatonia football team continued their dramatic improvement this season with a 42-13 victory over Three Rivers Friday at home.
Last year the Bulldogs lost to Three Rivers by 11 amidst a 1-9 season.
But this year is clearly a different story as Friday’s victory improved Flatonia’s record to 3-1.
And the Bulldogs didn’t need a single passing yard to get the win.
Instead Flatonia churned up 534 rushing yards, led by a 277-yard, four-touchdown night from Adrian Anderson and 118 yards and another TD from Caysen Perez. Koren Scott ran for 69 yards, Nathan Aguillon for 47 and Jaylon Anderson for 23.
The Flatonia defense limited Three Rivers to just 268 total yards (162 rushing and 106 passing).
Freddy Manzano had a pair of interceptions for Flatonia. Carmine Valdez led the team in tackles with 10 and Lukas Gutierrez and Josemaria Garcia each had seven tackles.
The road really gets tough for Flatonia this week as the Bulldogs welcome defending state champ Ganado (3-1) to town Friday for the district opener for both teams.
