Flatonia Lady Dogs Now 9-1 Heading into District

The Flatonia Lady Dogs faced off against the Wimberly Texans and the Saint Mary’s Hall Barons and won both games on Friday, Dec. 2. at the Navarro Tournament.

Against Wimberly, scoring leaders for the Lady Dogs were Summer Sodek with 33 points, Dani Vinklarek with 7 and Kalen Scott with 5. Against Saint Mary’s Hall, scoring leaders were Summer Sodek with 30, Dani Vinklarek with 11 and Abbie Uzzell with 10.

The Lady Dogs faced off against the Antonian Prep Apaches on Saturday, Dec. 6, and lost in a close battle finishing in 2nd place. Leading scorers for Flatonia were Summer Sodek with 21 points, Kalen Scott with 13, Abbie Uzzell with 13 and Dani Vinklarek with 9.

The Flatonia Girls are now 9-1. They’ll be back in action Tuesday at home to open district play against Schulenburg. JV starts at 5 p.m. Varsity will follow.
