Fayetteville Girls Go 1-3 at Flatonia Tourney

The Fayetteville girls basketball team went 1-3 at the Flatonia Tournament last week. Thursday the Lady Lions defeated Luling 58-27, but then lost to Gonzales 42-28, St. Paul 60-23 and Bellville 37-23.

In that win over Luling Cambree Denham scored a team-high 17 points for Fayetteville and Shea Sladek scored 14. Devynn Moeckel scored eight, Scotti Beseda had six, Maycee Miller had five, and Paige Jurecka and Saige Gasaway scored four.

The Lady Lions are now 6-11 overall and host Round Top-Carmine Tuesday in a district game at 5 p.m.

The Schulenburg boys basketball team beat Sealy 65-52 but lost to Bay City 5950 at their home tourney last week.
