Dogs Win Warm Up Game vs. Brazos

The Flatonia Bulldog baseball team won their playoff warm up game vs. Brazos 3-0 last Saturday in Flatonia.

Beck Zimmerman led the offense with a triple among his two hits. He also had one RBI.

Titan Targac also had a RBI amongst his two hits. Yandel Manzano had a double with two hits.

Caysen Perez also hit a triple. Hitting singles were Henri Vincik and Tripp Bowling.

Targac and Zimmerman teamed up to pitch the five inning shut out. Because the last two innings were called due to wet field conditions after a shower stalled out over the baseball field.

Earlier last week, Flatonia lost their last district game to Shiner by a 2-10 score.

Kullen Kutac and Blake Kessler combined to pitch the game vs. the Comanches.

Flatonia offense totaled eight hits, but could only score two runs.

Targac hit a double & scored a run. Singles were hit by the following : Udi Manzano, Diego Ramirez, Caysen Perez, Yandel Manzano, Zimmerman, Vincik, & Kessler.

Flatonia will go into the 2025 UIL Class 2A state playoffs as the second seed in Division 2. Shiner will be the #1 seed in Division 2.

Ganado will be the #1 seed in Division 1, while Schulenburg will be #2 seed in Division 1.

The Bulldogs will open up the UIL playoffs with the Bi-District round vs the Port Aransas Marlins. The Marlins are the District 30-2A champions. This series will be a best two out of three playoff. (Details above).
