Diamond Roundup

The Fayetteville baseball team beat Moulton 15-0 Wednesday as Jack Schley and Chance Konvicka combined to pitch a one-hitter, striking out 11. The game was called after four innings because of the mercy rule.

Offensively the Lions banged out 10 hits, including three by Jack Winford. Kandon Kaspar, Dylan Henneke, Easton Jaeger, Konvicka and Winford all drove in two runs each. Konvicka hit a homer.

The Lions are now 9-3 overall.

RTC

The Round Top-Carmine baseball team swept a doubleheader against Snook Thursday. In a 9-7 win, the Cubs’ William Neese pitched a complete game six-hitter with 14 strikeouts.

Carter Marburger had five hits, and Cody Wunderlich and Cash Robertson had two each.

In the 19-4 win, Carter Marburger and Miles Neese combined on the pitching effort. William Neese had three hits, including a triple and five RBIs. Miles Neese had two hits, including a double and two RBIs. Cadey Tovey drove in four runs.

The Cubs are now 7-10 overall.

Flatonia

Thursday the Flatonia Lady Bulldogs traveled to Ganado to finish out district play. The Lady Bulldogs lost 11-0. The Lady Bulldogs finished district with a 6-6 record and qualified for the playoffs. The Lady Bulldogs will take on Skidmore-Tynan in the first round of the playoffs on April 25 at 7 p.m. in Cuero.
