The La Grange softball team improved to 17-8 overall and 8-2 in district as they won their regular season finale 2-1 in eight innings at Navasota Tuesday.
Brooke Ulrich pitched a complete game six-hitter with 10 strikeouts.
Iylah King, Landri Hernandez and Kylin Brawley all had two hits for the Lady Leps. Hernandez and Brawley scored the two runs.
Melissa Gonzales, Madi Adams, Ulrich and Brion Williams also had hits for the Lady Leps.
The La Grange girls now turn their attention to the playoffs, which begin next week – details to be determined.

Chaos Reigns in 22-4A Baseball
The La Grange baseball team lost at Navasota Tuesday 7-3. The Leps led 2-0 in this one after the first inning when Hunter Sabo doubled home Kyler Lamza. Sabo advanced to third, which he was pinchrun for by Jayden Miller, who stole home.
The Leps gave up seven runs over the next two innings.
La Grange cut the Navasota lead to 7-3 in the fifth when Dalton Janacek singled to drive in Eli Gillum. But the Leps could get no closer.
The loss drops the Leps to 4-4 in district, tied with three other teams for second place and sets up a wild finish to the regular season. La Grange hosts its final home game Thursday versus Smithville on Senior Night at 7 p.m.
The Leps then close out the regular season at Smithville Monday at 7 p.m.

Lichnovsky and Goode No-Hit Bloomington
The Schulenburg baseball team bashed Bloomington 23-0 Tuesday as Conner Lichnovsky and Nick Goode combined on a no-hitter. Tyson Wagner, Owen Brenek, Zane Brenek and Eli Blansitt all had three hits for the Shorthorns.
Schulenburg is now 9-11 overall and 5-5 in district.
Flatonia Girls Lose The Flatonia softball team (12-8-1) lost to Weimar Tuesday 8-4. Jalee Trussell pitched a complete game and had two hits. Abbie Uzzell tripled. The Lady Bulldogs close out the regular season Thursday at Ganado and then open the playoffs Friday April 25 at 7 p.m in Cuero against Skidmore- Tynan.
Lady Horns Win
The Schulenburg softball team beat Bloomington 24-0 Tuesday to improve to 3-191 this season. Kinley Tillery pitched a complete game two-hitter. Tillery, Miranda Bonner, and Audrey Woytek all had three hits for the Lady Horns.
