The Schuleburg baseball team rallied to beat Flatonia Friday 7-5.

Flatonia led 5-0 before the Shorthorns scored two runs in the fifth and five in the seventh. Owen Brenek drove in three runs for Schulenburg and Tyson Wagner had two hits. Conner Lichnovsky hit a triple. Lichnovsky and Owen Brenek combined on the pitching effort for the Shorthorns, which improved to 8-11 overall and 4-5 in district. Flatonia falls to 11-6 overall and 6-2 in district.

Lions Fall

The Fayetteville baseball team lost to the Tomball Kings 6-5 Friday.

Jack Schley was two-for-three with a homer and had two RBIs. Chance Konvicka also had two hits for the Lions.

Lady Bulldogs Roll

The Flatonia softball team beat Schulenburg 16-6 Friday.

Jalee Trussell pitched a complete game fourhitter with 10 strikeouts and she also had four hits, including a triple and three RBIs. Sadie Noska and Blakely Richter each had three hits in the game. The Lady Bulldogs (12-7-1 overall and 6-4 in district) will be back in action Monday night at home vs. Weimar starting at 6 p.m.
