Defending State Champ Ganado Too Much for Flatonia

The Flatonia football team found the going tough Friday against defending state champ Ganado.

Ganado beat the Bulldogs 46-0 as Flatonia drops to 3-2 overall and 0-1 in district.

Flatonia freshman running back Adrian Anderson had eight carries for 42 yards. The rest of the team combined for negative-five rushing yards.

Carmine Valdez led Flatonia in tackles with 11.

Ganado’s Landyn Arriaga threw for 199 yards and two touchdowns. Logan Bures ran for 214 yards and three touchdowns as the Indians improved to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in district.

Flatonia plays this week at Bloomington, which is 4-1 overall and 1-0 in district and coming off a 37-16 victory over Danbury.
