Flatonia girls

The Flatonia girls basketball team improved to 4-0 this season with a 50-37 victory over the Austin St. Michael’s Warriors Tuesday.

Scoring for Flatonia included: Summer Sodek - 21 Dani Vinklarek - 11 Abbie Uzzell - 8 Kalen Scott - 5 Jalee Trussell - 5 Flatonia returns to action this Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Round Top-Carmine.

Fayetteville girls

The Fayetteville girls basketball team got its first victory of the season with a 47-45 win over Snook Monday.

Cambree Denham led the way for Fayetteville with 15 points. Scotti Beseda scored 14. Devynn Moeckel scored eight, Paige Jurecka six, and Lainey Gromaski and Shae Sladek scored two each.

The Lady Lions now have a 1-6 overall record.

Schulenburg boys

The Schulenburg boys basketball team has started the season with a pair of wins, a 52-35 victory over Somerville and a 74-37 triumph over Waelder last week.

Schulenburg girls

The Schulenburg girls basketball team has started the season 4-0 with victories over Fayetteville, Wharton, St. Paul and Brazos.
