The Round Top Film Festival Gears Up for Second Year; Submission Deadline Nears

Round Top Film Festival, fresh off a successful and well-received first iteration in November of last year, is returning November 6-9 for its second act. Organizers Shanna and Skylar Schanen, the dynamic mother-daughter duo, are laying the groundwork for RTFF year two as we speak and have big things in store as they seek to elevate the films, guests, panels, and parties to continue to grow RTFF and establish it as one of the top annual film festivals.

Senior Connections Keeping Locals Active This Summer

As the summer sun shines brightly, Senior Connections is gearing up for a fantastic week filled with friendship, fun, and delicious home-cooked meals. This welcoming gathering place for seniors, located at 1111 Bowman Ave. in Schulenburg, First United Methodist Church at 301 W. Saint Charles St. in Weimar, and Flatonia Methodist Church at 403 E. North Main St. in Flatonia, invites everyone aged 55 and up to join in on the excitement. Senior Connections is ready to start a busy week following a delightful Fourth of July weekend.

Colorado Valley Quilt Guild’s meeting Tuesday evening was a “Trunk Show” of the Guild’s various Quilt Committees. The Day One Bags/Quilts, Charity Quilts and Quilt of Valor Projects are just among the few of CVQG’s Committees.
