Second Chance Donates to American Legion

Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $1,500 to the American Legion Post No. 102. Monies donated will support costs associated with the 2nd Annual Armed Forces Appreciation Dinner and Dance on Sept. 13. The American Legion Post No. 102 serves as the lead organization that represents all veteran organizations within Fayette County and the veteran organizations of Smithville.

Resources For Successful Living Lunch and Learn Continues Aug. 19

The topic for August’s “Resources for Successful Living Lunch and Learn” series will be Universal Home Design, Make Your Home Your “’Forever Home’” This monthly event will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 19 from 12:05 - 12:50 p.m. at the Fayette County Agricultural Building, 255 Svoboda Lane, Room 104 in La Grange.

Local Models Walk The Runway in Second Chance Attire

The 12th annual Fashion Fling benefitting Hospice Brazos Valley was held Saturday at The Compound in Round Top. Twenty-five different local models participated in the Style Show, walking the runway wearing clothes from Second Chance in front of a huge crowd of equally stylish attendees. A.K. Schmidt introduced all of the models, described what they were wearing, and then listed the remarkably low price each of the outfits cost at Second Chance.
