Congressman Cloud Visits La Grange

U.S. Congressman Michael Cloud of Victoria visited La Grange on Wednesday, Sept. 24. The Fayette County Republican Party hosted a meet and greet with the congressman at Riverside Cafe Wednesday morning. The Texas Legislature recently redrew the state’s U.S. House Districts. As a result, Fayette County moved from Rep. Michael McCaul’s 10th District to the 27th District, represented by Cloud, who will be the incumbent in the 2026 mid-term election. Cloud serves on the House Oversight Committee and the House Appropriations Committee. At the meeting on Wednesday, Cloud spoke to local Republicans about issues related to Medicaid, government waste and fraud, and the recent Christian revival in politics following the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
