Fayette County Habitat for Humanity is calling on our neighbors to come together in love, compassion, and action as we launch a community-wide food drive at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Schulenburg. Under the theme “ReStore Our Community,” we are asking families, churches, businesses, and individuals to help restock the shelves of the Schulenburg Food Pantry for those who are struggling most among us.

Longhorn ranchers from all over Texas converged on the Fayette County Fairgrounds in La Grange Friday through Sunday last week for the Best Little Longhorn Show in Texas. But there was nothing little about this show, as there were more than 100 entries. Increasingly this area is becoming an epicenter of Longhorn breeding, and another big show is planned for the spring.

Round Top Angus LLC, Carmine, is a new member of the American Angus Association, reports Mark McCully, CEO of the national breed organization headquartered in Saint Joseph, Mo.
