Annual “Bee” Christmas Party Held in Flatonia

The Columbus and La Grange Bee’s met up at Robert’s Steakhouse in Flatonia for their Annual “Bee” Christmas Party. Everyone enjoyed a great lunch, time with friends and exchanging gifts. It was fun to just visit during the Holidays. CVQG’s Friendship Groups meet in Columbus and La Grange. Columbus Bee meets every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and located in the Colorado County Ag Building, 316 Spring Street in Columbus. La Grange Bee meets every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and meet at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 East Pearl Street, LaGrange. Everyone is welcomed.

Record Staff Donates To Food Pantry in Honor Of Newspaper Owners’ Upcoming Milestone

Barton Family Hits Half Century of Ownership of The Record in 2026 In 2026 The Fayette County Record will have been owned by the Barton Family for 50 years, nearly half of the life of the newspaper, which has been continuously printed for 104 years. To get a jump on the celebration, the staff of the newspaper held an in-house food drive to benefit the AMEN Food Pantry.

Lions Hear From REACH Leaders

Max Gerall, Founder, and Lewis May, Chairman of the Board, for the REACH project spoke recently at a La Grange Noon Lions Club December meeting. Lewis is a graduate of LSU, and has designed and planned large resorts, corporate headquarters, and even entire cities all over the world as a landscape architects and planner.
