Multi-County Early Childhood Education Conference February 7

On Saturday, Feb. 7 a 7-hour Multi-County Early Childhood Education Conference will be held at the Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange. This is a collaborative effort between the Multi-County Early Childhood Education Advisory Committee and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension’s Family & Community Health Agents of Austin, Fayette, and Wharton Counties.

Junk Gypsy Sisters Honored by Country Living Magazine

Junk Gypsy sisters Amie and Jolie Sikes of Round Top have been named to Country Living magazine’s Country Design 100, a list honoring the people shaping the future of country style. The magazine describes the local duo, who they dubbed “The Rhinestone Cowgirls” like this: “This talented sister duo— who smartly staked a claim in the heart of Round Top with their Junk Gypsy headquarters before it exploded—has continued to carve out their own unique feathered-and-glittery niche in the country space.
