Unpaid Livestock Show Bills Hurting Kids
Lots of youth exhibitors from the Fayette County Junior Livestock Show are having to wait for their hardearned dollars. The show took place back in March. Last Wednesday, organizers announced on Facebook that the sale checks were printed but very few could be released because so many buyers had not paid their bill.
Buyers were supposed to pay by May 30.
“Checks that are released (paid in full) can be picked up at the extension office starting tomorrow, June 26,” the post said. “Unfortunately, we have only 12 out of 124 checks ready for release due to having 62 unpaid buyers as of today.”
Show organizers urged all buyers who have not paid to do so as soon as possible. Payments can be dropped off at the Fayette County AgriLife Extension Office.
