Park Upgrade
Thanks to Billy Wasut and Martin Payne, the picnic table crafted by Evan Quiros has a new place in the park—ready and waiting for dominoes, coffee or a picnic.
Timeles Maison
Brittany Rouse, owner of the new store Timeless Maison, has been considering a place in the square for a while. “We would cut through Fayetteville to buy for my interior design clients and I loved the quaintness of the town. I’ve been looking at the spot (recently vacated by Yesterday’s Past) for about three years.” Rouse resides in Houston’s Memorial area, but when she’s out here, she hangs her hat with her brother, Barrett Rouse—founder of Stoney Creek Ranch in New Ulm.
“It’s been my dream to open this store,” stated Rouse. “The plans are to stock the store with men’s and women’s apparel—t-shirts, hats, casual clothes for low key living. Look for gifts, jewelry and goodies for pets. The store will be pet friendly (on leashes). I’ll have a faith area set up with Christian jewelry and t-shirts.
“I’ve been in the interior design industry for over 40 years. I’ll have some French antiques and offer design services to locals. I look forward to meeting everyone and getting involved in the community when we open around late spring.”
