SPJST members at the District 1 rally held June 21 in Snook.

SPJST members throughout Northeast Texas raised $269 in donations for the local food bank and Snook and Caldwell Blessing Boxes during the District 1 Rally.

Organizers called the District 1 Rally one of the most well-attended rallies this year. Spirits were high as more than 75 people came to support their community and join in fellowship.

Attendees donated several boxes and bags of nonperishables and hygiene items to give to the food bank and fill the area’s Blessing Boxes.

Members had a great time as they joined in games, activities, a silent cookie auction and other entertainments for the whole family throughout the day.

SPJST member Lauren Plachy appreciated the event and those who made it happen.

“It was such a fun day,” Plachy said. “Thank you for everyone who played a part in planning and making it a success.”

District One Council Secretary Sandra Stone served the district attendees and joined in the festivities.“It was an awesome day,” Stone said.

Local food banks and blessing boxes in the Snook and Caldwell area will receive all donated items collected during the rally.

Organizers expressed deep gratitude to all who donated, attended, or volunteered during the day’s activities.

The success of District 1 Rally benefit drive highlights the important role local groups play in supporting public service programs and helping neighbors in need. SPJST encourages visitors to join them as they continue their supportive efforts around Texas.
