Smithville Biker Heading to Nationals

Local 7-year-old dirt bike racer Callahan Russo of Smithville has qualified for the Amateur Na tional Motocross Championship, which will be held later this month at Hurricane Mills, Tennes see. Only the top 40 young riders in the nation qualify for this event. Russo trains at River Oaks Moto Park in Bastrop. The track is open to the general public, and they even have a “learn to ride” program where bikes/gear can be rented for the day so everyone is included. Russo’s coach is Cody Haverfield
