A Small Business Success Story: La Grange’s Spill The T

In this monthly series, local realtor Andrea Schutter Riebeling does a Q & A with local business people about what inspires them. This month’s interview is with Tiffany Peter, owner of Spill the T Healthy Bites in La Grange.

1) What is your business?

Spill the T Healthy Bites is a locally-owned loaded tea and healthy eats drive-thru. We’re best known for our loaded teas, but we also offer protein shakes, protein coffee, specialty coffee, healthy graband- go meals, other energy drinks, and meal prep services. We also carry TM3 nutritional products so customers can continue their wellness journey at home, and we host a monthly weight loss support group for anyone on any health journey.

2) How did you get started?

The idea came from my own struggles with health and fitness. I know how hard it can be to find healthy options that taste good and fit into a busy lifestyle. I wanted to create a place where people could grab something quick, delicious, and supportive of their goals.

3) How long have you been in business?

We opened on September 16, 2024, and we’ve been growing and learning alongside this amazing community ever since. This September, we’re excited to celebrate our one-year anniversary with a Grand Event on September 20 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. There will be local vendors, live music, door prizes, and great specials— we’d love for everyone to come celebrate with us.

4) Is this a family or oneperson business?

Spill the T is a familyowned business. It’s truly a family effort. My husband and I own it, our oldest daughter Halie runs it as our general manager, and our youngest daughter Madelynn works with us as well as a few other great individuals.

5) What kind of service do you provide?

We provide energizing drinks, healthy meals, and products that make healthy living easier. That includes loaded teas, protein shakes, coffee, TM3 products, meal prep, and our monthly weight loss support group.

6) Tell me something unique about your business.

We’re more than just a drive-thru—we want to be a community hangout. Our inside space is perfect for reading a book, connecting to Wi-Fi, or meeting friends, and it can also be rented for small parties or gatherings of up to 40 guests. We host paint nights and are planning to start a book club, along with other fun activities, to make Spill the T a place where people can relax, connect, and enjoy more than just great drinks. Plus, we offer a monthly weight loss support group to support anyone on a health journey.

7) What is your background?

My passion comes from my own health and fitness journey. I’ve battled with my weight for years—I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m on my way. That’s why I opened Spill the T and partnered with TM3. I’m also looking into learning more about weight loss and nutrition so I can offer even more guidance and support to our customers.

8) What do you suggest to others who want to venture out and take a leap of action in the future of their career?

Don’t wait for the “perfect time”—it doesn’t exist. Start where you are, trust yourself, and learn as you go. Consistency and passion will take you further than fear.

9) Do you believe in college, trade school, or any training?

Education is important, but it looks different for everyone. For some, that’s college; for others, trade school or hands-on experience. What matters most is always being willing to learn and adapt.

10) How did you decide to make Fayette County your home?

My husband and I have lived here pretty much our entire lives. We both went to school here and graduated from here. This is home. We like to say we’re from here, we grew up here, and our kids all graduated here. We love the small-town feel and the strong sense of community in Fayette County—it’s the perfect place to build something meaningful and help others live healthier, happier lives.
