Saturday’s Forum Cancelled Due to Winter Weather

The Fayette County Republican Party candidate forum set for this Saturday, Jan. 24, in Schulenburg has been canceled due to the icy weather forecast.

Fayette County Republican Party Chairman Michael Schlabach said organizers plan to extend the forum scheduled for Feb. 7 in Flatonia so that the candidates can answer the questions that would have been asked in Schulenburg.

The next scheduled forum will be Jan. 31 at Frisch Auf Valley Country Club in La Grange beginning at 11 a.m. The forum on Feb. 7 will take place at the Flatonia American Legion Hall, also beginning at 11 a.m.

Both of these forums will be open to the Republican candidates for Fayette County Judge and Texas House District 85. The public is invited. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. on both dates, and food and refreshments will be available.
