Round Top Family Library Chili Cook-Off Saturday

The 2026 Chili Cook-Off is this Saturday beginning at 12 p.m. at the Round Top Rifle Hall. Be sure to wear your Red, White & Blue when you join the fun Over 30 teams are signed up to compete in this year’s exciting cook-off competition with prize money for the first place teams in the Traditional Division and Open Division. Black Cat Choir will delight the crowd with their amazing live music and there are lots of things planned for your little ones.

Round Top-Carmine ISD Students have a holiday Monday, Jan. 19 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. A Dual Credit meeting for 10th grade students will be Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, is the annual “Small School, Big Hearts” dinner, auction, and family dance party at the Round Top Rifle Hall. Round Top Rifle Hall 

The Monday Night Social will be Jan. 19. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for some delicious burgers. The first annual fundraising gala will be held Saturday, Feb. 28. Festival Hill 

Enjoy a Valentine’s Concert with singer/songwriter Will Lynde and Family on Saturday, Feb. 14. Hear timeless Love Songs From Broadway to Nashville. More details will be available soon.

Antiques & Design Show 

The annual winter show will be Thursday, Jan. 22 through Sunday, Jan. 25. Several seasonal venues will be open for the long weekend in addition to year-round shops, restaurants and bars.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church 

Bethlehem Lutheran Church meets for worship Sundays at 9:30 a.m. A donation drive has been organized to collect hand sanitizer, tissues, disinfecting wipes, dry erase markers, eraser caps, and pencils for teachers. Ruth Circle met on Thursday, Jan. 8, at 2 p.m. in Carmine as guests of the MLLC ladies. Those in attendance from Ruth Circle were Pearlie Wagner, Julie Wantland, LaVerne Albers, Joys Baird, Sedalia Ullrich, Sherry Pennington, and Pastor John David Nedbalek.

Refreshments were served by Pearlie Wagner, Sedalia Ullrich, and Joys Baird. The Bible Study topic was prayer and what an important part it is in our relationship with God, helping us to feel connected to Him on a deeper level. “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:8. Prayer is a way for us to spend time with God, connect with Him, invite Him into our lives, ask for His guidance, and align our hearts with His. Through prayer, we find peace, purpose, comfort, wisdom, healing, guidance, strength, and so much more.

St. Paul Lutheran Church St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby services are at 8 a.m. Fellowship, Coffee, and Sunday School follow at 9:30 a.m. Game Day is held the first Wednesday at 2 p.m. Quilting is held the third Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.

St. Martin’s Catholic Church St. Martin holds monthly Mass the first Tuesday of each month at 8 a.m. for the intentions left on the altar.

St. John’s Lutheran Church St. John’s is part of the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. They meet for Sunday Worship at 8:30 a.m.

RT Christian Fellowship Round Top Church meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study, followed by a 10 a.m. service.

St. Cecilia’s Episcopal Church Saint Cecilia’s meets Sundays at 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. at the Haw Creek Chapel in Henkel Square.
