    The Town of Round Top will hold a Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 28, at 6:30 p.m.

The Town of Round Top invites everyone to celebrate the holiday season at the Round Top Tree Lighting on Friday, November 28. The evening will be filled with small-town charm, twinkling lights, and the kind of special moments that bring neighbors together.

Standing 24 feet tall and adorned with bright red and gold ornaments, thousands of sparkling lights, and topped with a giant illuminated star, this year’s tree is a delight for everyone to enjoy.

Mayor Judith Vincent said, “Our very special guest, Gloria Hickey, will Flip the Switch and light this year’s tree. Gloria is being honored for her long and faithful service to the Round Top community. She has a unique and special connection with Christmas on the Round Top Square. As a member of the Round Top Do Your Duty Club (DYD), Gloria has participated in decorating the courthouse and square for nearly 70 years having joined the DYD while as a senior at the Round Top - Carmine High School in 1963.”

Visitors can enjoy the Town Square and take holiday selfies while sipping hot cocoa donated by Festival Hill.

The official tree lighting ceremony will take place the day after Thanksgiving at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 28.
