Quilt Guild Presents Quilt of Valor to Local Vet

Anita Todd, representing the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild, presented Raymond Urban Jr., VVA Chapter 870 Member, with Quilts of Valor. Also pictured is Ron Dorsey Treasurer of VVA No. 870, Don Christen Vice President of VVA No. 870 and not in the picture was Andy Janda President of VVA No. 870. The lady behind Ray is his wife Billie Urban The Quilt was made and donated by the Members of Colorado Valley Quilt Guild of La Grange, in partnership with the Quilts of Valor Foundation. The National Quilts of Valor Foundation has awarded quilts to over 414,000 veterans since its creation in 2003. Its mission is to award these special quilts to veterans who have been touched by war.
