Paintings, Prints, and Peculiar Pieces Coming To ARTS Ross Gallery
Arts for Rural Texas kicks off a new year of gallery exhibitions with Stephen Henry’s solo show: Paintings, Prints, and Peculiar Pieces. An opening reception will be held Saturday, January 17 from 4 - 6 p.m. at the ARTS Ross Gallery on Fayetteville’s town square.
Stephen Henry is an artist and art educator. After serving in the US Army, Henry earned his BFA from Midwestern State University, where he discovered his passion for teaching. Now a veteran of over 26 years in the classroom, Henry has helped many youths and adults nurture their artistic endeavors. He occasionally leads adult painting workshops and currently teaches art at Brenham High School.
Outside of the classroom, Henry’s personal journey in the creative world continues to progress. His works have been featured in dozens of gallery exhibitions across the United States and recognized with numerous accolades.
Working in the studio and en plein air, Henry captures soulful landscapes and western scenes with masterful brushwork and vibrant color. Stop by the gallery for the show’s opening reception to meet the artist and see his latest collection of work.
The exhibition will remain on view until February 28. The Ross Gallery is open Tuesday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
