Local Seniors Enjoy Spectacular Performance of ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ at Bastrop Opera House
A lively group of twenty- five seniors from the La Grange Senior Citizens Activity Center enjoyed a truly memorable afternoon as they attended a dazzling performance of Fiddler on the Roof at the Bastrop Opera House. The beloved musical, known for its rich storytelling and unforgettable songs, had the audience captivated from the opening scene.
The theater cast delivered a show filled with humor, heart, and powerful performances. For many, it was a nostalgic afternoon that left the audience reflecting on family, tradition, and the timeless power of music. The large group from La Grange had a great time and are looking forward to future trips. The next major event for the group is the membership meeting and luncheon on Nov. 5. An interesting fact is that this play is set in a Ukrainian village circa 1905 when the Russian tsar evicted the Jews from this village.
