Little Readers And Big Adventures Coming to The Stanzel Museum

The Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum is opening its doors to young readers and their families for a day of fairy tale magic. On Saturday, Sept. 6, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., children are invited to join Little Readers, Big Adventures, a free early childhood literacy event presented in partnership with Parents as Teachers and BRIDGE.

Families will step into the world of classic fairy tales and nursery rhymes as they visit hands-on literacy stations throughout the museum complex and public library. Children can:

• Build castles with magnet tiles and LEGOs

• Create their own wands and shields

• Chase the Gingerbread Man on a scavenger hunt

• Jump with Jack and plant a beanstalk

• Build with the Three Little Pigs

• Cross the bridge with Billy Goats Gruff

• Stop by Grandma’s house for a snack Before the adventure ends, every child can visit the Melinda Stanzel Barneycastle Memorial Free Library to choose books to take home and keep.

This special event celebrates the magic of reading while sparking creativity, play, and family connection.

Mark your calendars for a day of stories, laughter, and learning at the Stanzel Museum, 311 Baumgarten St., Schulenburg. Visit www.stanzelmuseum. org for more information.
