The school board recognized the three students whose artwork was chosen for the district’s Christmas card this year at Monday night’s meeting.

The three students were Nathalie Navarro, a 6th grader from La Grange Elementary; Haylee Mitchell, an 8th grader from La Grange Middle School; and Brinley Freedman, a 9th grader from La Grange High School. Haley Mitchell was unable to attend Monday night’s meeting.

Superintendent Andy McHazlett said, “We have so many talented students in our district that they do all different types of things with the different types of talents.

“But this obviously showcases their creative work and their artistic abilities. So we ended up voting. And then we select three people, three students, one from each campus, and they go on our official card.”
