La Grange Noon Lions Club Welcomes Governor and Inducts New Members
The La Grange Noon Lions Club was honored to host District Governor Kelli Higgins at its recent meeting, where she shared inspiring insights into the many service projects Lions Clubs across the district are championing to support local communities.
Governor Higgins spoke about the impact Lions make through key service areas including vision, hunger relief, diabetes awareness, pediatric cancer support, and environmental initiatives. Her address highlighted the ongoing commitment of Lions throughout the district to uphold the organization’s global mission:
“We Serve.”
In addition to the Governor’s visit, the club celebrated a significant milestone with the induction of six new members, reflecting the growing spirit of service in the La Grange community.
The new members are Lance Nickel, Kimberly Mamaril, Jennifer Lane, Amy Baxter, Darrell Bartley, and Julie Beyer.
“We are thrilled to welcome these new members to our club,” said Club President Diana Wilson. “Their dedication and fresh perspectives will strengthen our service efforts in La Grange and beyond.”
The La Grange Noon Lions Club continues its legacy of service through various local initiatives, including vision screenings for students, support for food pantries, environmental cleanups, and contributions to community health programs.
