The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is having “Sunday Vittles” on Sunday, Nov. 30. They are planning a Thanksgiving meal to give thanks to God our Father for all the blessings and to enjoy some wonderful fellowship. There will be some fried turkey to start the meal off with and everyone is invited to bring along their favorite side dish and/or dessert to create a wonderful Thanksgiving meal for all to enjoy. Worship service begins at 10 a.m., so come on out and enjoy a blessed message and enjoy a fantastic meal after.

At 10 a.m. on Dec. 6 SG2C will be decorating the church for Christmas and the Christmas in Muldoon celebration. They will be getting things set up and organized for Santa’s big visit. They are planning on going out to lunch afterwards, so if you have the time, come have some fun decorating and maybe get an idea or two, and make some new friends.

Coming up in December at SG2C is the Christine Scott Christmas Program at 10 a.m. on Dec. 14.And then the Christmas Eve program on Dec. 24. Tis the season to remember the reason for the season.

Christmas in Muldoon

It is fast approaching, the Christmas in Muldoon celebration! The first Saturday in December is all marked to be a fun time in this small community. It is just a few hours of fun and festivities to get the season started off right.

The celebration of the Christmas season begins at 4:30 p.m. at the Muldoon Museum with some cookies, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider to enjoy. You can do this all while pursuing the relics of the past. There are lots of railroad items, household items, books, pictures and a war veteran memorial. There also will be a fundraising bake sale to support this wonderful preservation of the past. There will be a wide selection of cake, cookies, brownies and a bunch more to purchase and start your holiday season off to a great and effortless start. They will be open till 6 p.m.

After you have had a wonderful treat at the museum drive on over to the park and wander off into the Stay Gathering Cowboy Church to have a visit with the jolly old elf himself, Santa Claus. While there go ahead and enjoy the craft station that will be set up. It will be a great time to let the kids enjoy the festive season with creative fun. Santa’s schedule is 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., so make sure to come on out and have loads of fun for the whole family!

To end the evening at 6:30 p.m. the Muldoon Fire Department will be hosting their Christmas party with homemade stew and invite the community to bring a side dish or a dessert to share. They are accepting freewill donation at that time.

Out and About

Devon Boehnke, Dana and Darrell Kulak all recently enjoyed having Devon’s other daughters, April Pospisil, along with Beth and Jack Field come out for a visit and a chance to catch up.

A recent trip to Houston took Ron and Pam Knotts through some of the older neighborhoods where they grew up. What a change is happening there as new folks are building skinny townhouses right in the middle of older areas that haven’t changed in 50 years. Ron and Pam found it hard to navigate some areas that have changed with new buildings and freeways rerouted. Luckily for Ron they found a Pappasitos for lunch. The trip down memory lane was worth the extra effort to wander thru the old neighborhoods and remember some good times.

Jennifer and Clay Rightmer took off to Waco to the Baylor football game against Utah University. They got a chance to have dinner out and spend the night in Waco before coming home.

Ill

There are some who are ill in the community. Please reach out and check on your neighbors. They might need a little help and would appreciate knowing someone cares.

Holidays

As the holidays approach keep an eye out for your neighbors’ place. If you are out of pocket have them keep an eye on your place. We all have to pull together to keep the area safe and it doesn’t take much to give a phone call if something looks out of place.

Celebrations

A belated Happy Birthday goes to Antonette Syler.
