Hermann Sons Meet, Plan April Convention
On Feb. 11, the Schulenburg Hermann Sons Lodge #14 met with 36 members and guests at Oakridge Restaurant at 5;30 p.m.
The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by president Ed Moeller.
The United States along with the Texas pledge was said.
Minutes were read from the November and December meetings by Debora Behlen and they were approved. Chelsea Moeller gave the treasurer report.
Get well cards were sent out by Mary Schroeder to Linda Wagner, Elmer Ulrich and Ed Moeller.
A ‘thinking of you card’ was sent to Elmer Ulrich.
No nursing care was given. A mention of the scholarship was given that the schools were notified. Bill and Delores Michalke gave to the fund in memory of Eugene Schramek, Evelyn Besetsny and Mary Honish memorial.
New member Jedidah Amadeus Blair was approved.
Under old business thank you cards were read from the Schulenburg Jr. Livestock Show members for the donations made for the banners.
Under new business a United States flag was given to Schulenburg Fitness Center. The pole and flag will be fixed due to the damage done by the winds at the EMS in Schulenburg. The convention will be held in April with 6 people signed up. Installation of officers was next. With the oaths taken a group picture was taken.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned.
The next meeting is set for May 13, 2026 at 5:30 p.m.
