Ghost Tour Spotlights Spooky LG Sites
Local folks have an appetite for scary stories. The Fayette Community Theatre’s recent Nov. 1 Ghost Tours of La Grange sold out in a hurry. They added a second day, and that sold out just as quick, so the group will likely make this an annual event.
The bus tour started at the theatre’s box office downtown and then went to the old city cemetery and the old high school, with tour guide Anthony Lira telling relevant local stories along the way (bottom, right). Then the tour proceeded to the historic Faison Home where there were multiple stations set up for attendees to walk through. Those included a theatrical scene by Molly Hudson and Jeremiah Lenhart and including one where Caleb Chowdory and Garret Reavis (top, right) showed off some electronic ghost-detecting readings they obtained at the house. The bus then let attendees off on the square where they took a walking tour around the courthouse by Katy Beauford and the old jail by Bobbie Nash (left) including relevant scary tales about both locations.
