  • Jeremy Finch, the local coordinator of Feed the Need, addresses volunteers prior to the start of Monday’s distribution. “Don’t miss the miracle ... you have a purpose to fill. What blessing can you be a part of? When 200 turkeys and however many people come together to do this, consider this Holy Ground and the miracle that it is.”

More than 60 volunteers helped distribute 180 Gobble Kits (family Thanksgiving dinner kits) along with their weekly distribution of hamburgers Monday on the courthouse square in La Grange as part of Feed the Need’s efforts here. Feed the Need founder Jonah Beyer said the event here, along with four distribution sites in Bastrop County, included more than 10,000 pounds of turkeys and 830 families were helped this Thanksgiving across the region.
