The Live Oak Art Center (LOAC) of Columbus presents Through the Eyes of an Artist, celebrating the work of Diane Mueller, photographer extraordinaire. A reception and celebration of her work is scheduled for Friday, October 10, 6-8 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

The exhibit is more than a collection of photographs— it’s an invitation to see the world differently. Most photographers are categorized as specialists in only one specific area such as portraits of people, fine art, landscapes, nature, or wildlife photography. Diane demonstrates creative skills in all of these areas and more.

Recognized internationally for her creativity and technical skill, Diane consistently wins awards in global competitions and high praise from her clients. She is also among the elite 2 percent of professional photographers to achieve the title of Master Photographer from the Professional Photographers of America.

Her landscape photography captures more than delightful details of a scene; those same details transcend to expose an emotional “feeling”. Diane can also take somewhat ordinary objects and create a collage that “speaks” to the viewer’s imagination.

Families especially value her ability to capture natural, heartfelt expressions across all ages. “Magic” is a word often used when mothers revel in her ability to successfully achieve cooperation with “I can’t believe you captured natural expressions with my family with so many different ages and moods involved. You work magic!”

From the quiet innocence of newborn babies to glorious flowers, from sweeping landscapes to incredible wildlife closeups, Diane highlights beauty that might otherwise go unnoticed. She creates lasting works of art.

One of her many passions is creating unique newborn images. She’s been a trendsetter in using imaginative ways to photograph tiny babies— some in “swaddling clothes”—silently proclaiming their quiet innocence and potential as loving parents connect the circle of love.

Diane travels extensively to create images to satisfy both her clients’ needs and her personal desire to explore new places. Her studio location is La Grange. Her love of innovation, learning and travel fuels her artistry. She’s been privileged to explore places of great beauty and capture details to uplift life! One view commented, “She adds an accent to ‘awe’ in AWEsome!”

LOAC invites you to see this phenomenal exhibition in October to share Diane’s sense of wonder, gratitude and joy for the beauty that surrounds us. An artist’s reception is Friday, October 10, 6-8 p.m., 1014 Milam, Columbus.
