Award-winning singersongwriter George Ensle takes the stage for a special CD release concert celebrating his album, Touchstones. This free concert, presented by Arts for Rural Texas, will be held Saturday, January 24 at the SPJST Hall in Fayetteville.

During the 1960s Houston folk music scene, Ensle was sharing stories, songs, and stages with Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark and Billy Joe Shaver. After more than six decades, he still maintains the essence of that folk tradition, the story song. Ensle’s performances are filled with wit, wisdom, grit, and enduring hope, featuring his distinctive vocals accompanied by intricate fingerstyle guitar.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., followed by the performance at 7:00 p.m. After the concert, guests can grab merch and autographs from 8:00 – 8:30 p.m., then head over to Hugo’s 1876 at the Grand Fayette Hotel for an afterparty with dessert and specialty cocktails.

While this concert is free to attend, ticket reservations are required and can be made at www.artsforruraltexas.org/ ensleconcert. For more information call (979) 378-2113.
