Many kids at SG2C have been out and about at various church camps. This little church has been such an asset to the Muldoon community by providing a place for the youth to gather and participate in some wholesome fun and socializing. Stop by any Sunday morning to see what is happening and how God is blessing this congregation.
Weather
Muldoon has been hot and humid. Small spotty showers have been falling in and around the area. Even with the heat the area still is green and not as dry as the start of July can be. Heat is running the temperatures into the nineties and with the humidity it feels much hotter. Be sure to be drinking lots while out and take lots of breaks in the shade to cool off.
Out and About
Roberta Gullick reports that her great granddaughter Juliet Hill traveled for her oncology appointment and received an excellent report from her blood work and if she gets another good report in September, she will be transitioned to the Cancer Survivorship program, which is excellent news. Juliet has been on many prayer lists for years and this is a wonderful report.
Roberta’s great grandson, Charlie Hill has been traveling into Flatonia this past week to attend the Flatonia Baptist Straight Shooters’ basketball camp. He has been working on improving his game and got to have loads of fun with many of his friends.
Jennifer and Clay Rightmer traveled to the Fort Worth area for a night out on the town prior to picking up their daughter, Lane Rightmer, from the airport the next day. Lane had traveled to Australia for two weeks to visit her brother Reed Rightmer, who is attending medical school there.
Devon Boehnke and Dana and Darrell Kulak went with Beth and Jack Field to the San Marcos River on Sunday. They had lots of fun and made loads of memories.
Illness in Area
There are a number of people in the area who are struggling to get over a really tough summer cold. Please check on your neighbors to make sure they are OK. This summer cold is a tough one and takes longer to recover from and just zaps your energy levels. Also, if you are out and about and you experience what you think is a heat stroke, please go get it checked out. It may turn out to be something much more. This recently happened to one in our area and thankfully all has turned out OK.
