Out and About
Nancie Blair and I along with Kim Bonewald and Trica Griste went on a little quilt shop hop. We took on the Fall Frolic Shop Hop and traveled to the seven shops on the hop and added another along the way. We started the farthest north shop, Serenity Quilts of Many Colors in Brady and worked our way through Llano, Blanco, Wimberly, New Braunfels, Schertz, and McQueenie. It was lots of fun and we enjoyed some delicious food along the way. Now we all have projects to get made.
Lillah, Charlie, and Juliet Hill’s grandfather, Michael Hill, came in to visit his grandchildren. He attended church and Sunday School with them at Flatonia Baptist Church and then took the kids to Czhilispiel. Charlie got to ride the sports float, before getting to ride some of the rides. To top the day off Grandpa took them to Robert’s for a nice meal before heading back to Austin.
James and I loved having our grandson, Ira James Ivy come out from Austin to spend some time in the country. He enjoyed petting all the animals and getting to watch Grandpa and Uncle Bobby work at moving a big tree and repair some fence.

SG2C’s lady’s ministry has been meeting on Thursday evenings, but will be changing it to Saturdays at noon. With the holidays and busy schedules that ladies always have they will only meet this month on Saturday, Nov. 22 at noon. With the schedule change more ladies might find time to come out and check out this ministry and find support from other Christian ladies who are wanting to learn more about the Bible along with have some fellowship with other ladies.
Weather
The weather in Muldoon has been much cooler recently. Rain in varying amounts fell in the area on Saturday night. Any moisture currently is much welcomed to try and off set some of the recent drought conditions.
Deer Season
Deer season has begun and that means the hunters are back in the woods. Please be careful and practice hunting safety when out and about. And if you see something that does not look right, contact the land owner and make sure all is as it should be.
The deer also have been moving a lot more at night. Keep alert when traveling in the area for not only the deer, but the hogs also. They are crossing the roads in search of mates and food.
