T he Fayette Community Theatre’s Fall production “Calendar Girls” completed its three night run at the Sanford Schmidt amphitheater in La Grange in front of big crowds and to rave reviews.

The play is based on a true story of a group of middleaged Yorkshire women who produced a nude calendar to raise money for Leukemia Research.

It was a major motion picture back in 2003. The play ingeniously used props to imply the racy calendar shoot. The play was directed by Heather Barthelme and Tiffany Denham.

According to Barthelme, of the 14 cast members, six were new to FCCT and of the nine crew members six were new or grew to the mainstage from student productions.

The cast included: Lucy Carr, Staci Ulrich, Julie Couch, Kristen Holub, Judd Ulrich, Blythe Cone, Holly Garza, Katy Beauford, Garrett Rivas, Brandon Theut, Mona Nuckolls, Doady Rogers, Emily Hudson and Jakob Cone.
