Big Stories for Little Listeners: Storytelling at the RT Library
Arts for Rural Texas, in partnership with the Round Top Family Library, presents a special performance for the Summer Reading Program featuring bilingual storyteller Sue Young on Wednesday, July 9 at 10 a.m. at the Round Top Family Library.
Young is an award-winning singer, songwriter, and storyteller known for her engaging performances in Spanish and English.
With sparkling vocals and handmade songs ranging from the whimsical to the mystical, Young draws from an extensive repertoire of Latin American and world folktales, personal stories, and both traditional and contemporary music to create a rich, multicultural storytelling experience. Her program is designed to complement the 2025 Summer Reading Program theme, “Color Our World,” and is perfect for audiences of all ages—recommended for ages 3 and up.
This performance is part of ARTS’ Fine Art Assemblies program, which provides free access to performing arts experiences for children in rural communities.
The program brings live performances directly to schools and libraries, giving students a front-row seat and a backstage pass to the world of performing arts.
Join us at the library for a morning of colorful, funfilled stories that spark imagination and celebrate the world of storytelling.
