Coming up the first weekend in November is the annual Round Top Wine Fest. Saturday, Nov. 1 the day kicks off at 11 a.m. Register at the Town Square before hitting the trail.

The $65 ticket includes a signature wine glass, goody bag, a map of the Wine Trail, one raffle ticket, and a wristband that serves as your ticket to participate in the Wine Tastings and shuttle services.

Brunch in Round Top 

Sunday morning, Nov. 2, enjoy brunch at several participating restaurants including Boon & Company, Duo Modern @ Market Hill, Lulu’s, Mandito’s, Mill Street Café, Prost on Block 29, Round Top Brewing & Kitchen, Round Top Coffee Shop, Royers Round Top Café, and The Garden Company in Round Top. Harvestfest Dinner 

A great philanthropic opportunity is also on Nov. 1 – Arts for Rural Texas is hosting their annual Harvestfest Dinner and auction, featuring an optional VIP pre-party with live music and cocktails. The main event offers a gourmet, plated dinner by Chef Wade Schindler of Cotton Culinary. Following the dinner will be a live and silent auction. Ticket information can be found at roundtop.com.

Round Top Film Festival 

The following weekend is the second annual Round Top Film Festival. Beginning on Nov. 6, discover the best in new films and episodic television, connect with filmmakers and industry insiders, and enjoy one-of-a-kind parties, panels, and special events. The event takes place at Festival Hill, as well as numerous other places in and around Round Top. A variety of ticket options are available. Visit roundtopfilmfest. org for details. 

Round Top Fall Art Show 

The Round Top Fall Art Show will be at The Compound from Friday, Nov. 7 - Sunday, Nov. 9. Discover a stunning array of artwork in various mediums, sculptures, handmade jewelry and more.

RT Lion’s Club Turkey Trot 

Don’t forget to register for the 9th Annual Round Top Lion’s Club Turkey Trot, held every year on Thanksgiving. Beginning at 8 a.m., participants will run or walk through the beautiful roads of Round Top. Chose from a 10K, 5K or 1-mile fun run. Register online at athleteguild.com/event/ round-top-tx/annual-roundtop- lions-club-turkey-trot to secure your spot. Online registrations by Nov. 6 are guaranteed a shirt.

Round Top-Carmine ISD 

Red Ribbon Week is Oct. 27-31. An early release is set for Friday, Oct. 31.

RTC High School is collecting pictures of local veterans for their Wall of Honor, which will be on display for Veterans Day. Please email pictures to bvenghaus@rtcisd. net or bring them to Mrs. Venghaus to be scanned and returned.

Festival Hill 

The next Volunteer Day is Saturday, Nov. 1. If you plan on participating, please register so they have a lunch count.

December brings back Sounds of the Season, featuring the Blinn College Wind Symphony and Choirs. The Nutcracker Ballet is back Saturday, Dec. 13 – get your tickets now before they sell out – because they will. More information and links to purchase tickets can be found at festivalhill.org.

Round Top Rifle Hall 

Round Top Rifle Hall Monday night hamburger socials are the first, second and third Mondays of each month. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The 13th Annual OktoBierFest is coming up Saturday, Oct. 25. Gates open at 11 a.m., and the official keg tapping is at 12 p.m. Enjoy an afternoon filled with quality German Biers, delicious Kassler, Schweineschnitzel, Wurst, and Kraut. A free concert will be held under the pavilion with music by The Round Top Brass Band, anduf Geht’s and Enzian Baum. Entry is free.

Round Top Family Library 

The Round Top Family Library offers several free events for all ages throughout the week. Yoga, homeschool classes, story time, STEM, Mah Jongg, Chess, and Taekwondo, are just a few of the selections. Coming up Saturday, Oct. 25 is an Acoustic Jam Session. St. Martin’s Catholic Church 

The monthly Mass for November will be Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 8 a.m. More information can be found at stjohnfayetteville. com/st-martin.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church 

Bethlehem Lutheran Church meets for worship Sundays at 9:30 a.m. You can also watch the service on their YouTube channel found at https://tinyurl.com/yc77f2vj at 9:30 a.m. Enjoy a Gospel Music Festival Sunday, Oct. 26 from 2 – 6 p.m. Bring your chairs and picnic dinners to enjoy a great fall afternoon listening to Gospel music! Homemade ice cream will be served during the break.

St. Paul Lutheran Church 

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby services are at 8 a.m. Fellowship, Coffee, and Sunday School follow at 9:30 a.m. Game Day is held the first Wednesday at 2 p.m. Quilting is held the third Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.

Reformation Sunday worship is Oct. 26 at Lutherhill. No service in Shelby that weekend.

St. John’s Lutheran Church 

St. John’s is part of the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. They meet for Sunday Worship at 8:30 a.m.

RT Christian Fellowship 

Round Top Church meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study, followed by a 10 a.m. service.

St. Cecilia’s Episcopal Church 

Services are held Sunday mornings at 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. in the Haw Creek Chapel in Henkel Square.
