Animal Shelter Update

As of July 25, the total intake for 2025 is 1043: 460 dogs and 583 cats in need. There are 144 animals in our care: 59 dogs and 85 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to a rescue partner.

GJAS offers a discount voucher program to the citizens of Fayette County for the spay or neuter of family pets. GJAS has a microchip special for Fayette County pets.
