Animal Shelter Update

As of Jan. 24, the total 2026 intake for the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter is 77: 54 dogs and 23 cats in need. There are 76 animals in care: 60 dogs and 16 cats.

If you believe your lost pet may be in care, call (979) 966-0021 to confirm and learn requirements for reclaim.

Help the shelter help them. The shelter is always looking for dog walkers, kitten cuddlers, laundry washers, and puppy bathers. You won’t regret volunteering.
