American Legion Quade-Werchan Post No. 338 Gives $1,000 to Round Top-Carmine Education Foundation

The American Legion Quade-Werchan Post No. 338 and Ladies Auxiliary participated in the Round Top-Carmine Education Foundation ‘Small Town, Big Hearts Fundraiser’ held on Feb.7. During the event the post presented a check to the foundation in the amount of $1,000, In addition to the post’s financial contributions four members of the legion gave individual donations to the foundation.

For the past twelve years the post has partnered with the Round Top-Carmine Education Foundation to support their efforts. During this time the post has contributed a total in excess of $16,000 to the organization in support of the school district and its students. The post’s donations have been used to purchase new musical instruments for the band program, books for the library, as well as needs related to laptop computers and classroom whiteboards.

American Legion Quade-Werchan Post No. 338 meets the first Thursday of each month at their hall located at 1503 N. State Hwy. 237, Round Top. Meetings begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.
