The American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Unit No. 102 (La Grange) and the American Legion (AL) Post No. 102 (La Grange) visited local veterans in area assisted living and nursing care facilities in mid-December. They delivered homemade cookies and other treats in their gift baskets. Both the ALA and AL members were honored to spend time with local veterans, listening to stories, and singing some favorite holiday songs during these visits. The American Legion Auxiliary welcomes new members at their next meeting on Jan. 14 at 6 p.m. at the La Grange VFW building located on Veterans Memorial Drive.
