Wade Mozisek, president of Fayette Savings Bank projects the opening of its new banking center in Fayetteville to occur around the end of February. “Our goal is to be the community bank folks in the Fayetteville area are accustomed to having. We’re proud to announce that we will have two veteran bankers familiar to the area working our new bank – Sarah Bertsch and Tammy Beseda (both prior employees of Fayetteville Bank).

“When Cadence Bank acquired the Industry Bancshare banks, of which Fayetteville Bank was a part of, we started thinking about opening a bank in Fayetteville to give area residents a locally owned, independent community bank to do business with. At the same time, we started getting requests from people in that area for us to come open a branch there. They were passionate about wanting a local, community bank in Fayetteville – so it all seemed like a perfect fit.

“We are starting out by leasing a building at 212 W. Fayette St. which is now being remodeled into our banking center. In the interim, we invite customers to come to our La Grange bank to open new accounts, as many have done. This way, their accounts will be active the day we open the doors of our new bank in Fayetteville.”

Fayette Savings Bank has banking centers in La Grange, Flatonia, Schulenburg and Weimar. The phone number in La Grange is (979) 968-9511 and is located at 111 E. Travis (at the corner of Business 71 and Highway 77).

Many thanks to Mike Ollie, Vice President of Business Development, for the writeup. The bank website is www. fayettesavings.com. The Facebook page is: https://www. facebook.com/fayettesavingsbank.
