The La Grange boys basketball team got its first win of the season Monday, downing Round Top-Carmine 73-49. The Leps (1-1) overcame a strong start by RTC, and pulled away over the final three quarters.
The La Grange football team is winning a lot lately. Heading into this Friday’s regional semifinal game against Hardin-Jefferson (11-1) the Leps have won all 12 games they’ve played this season, 25 of their last 26 games, and 34 of their last 38.
The third time was indeed the charm. For the third consecutive year, the Schulenburg volleyball team made it to the state title match. two days here at the state tournament to claim the school’s first ever state volleyball title. And what a road they had to travel to get there.
KATY – The games keep getting bigger, and the Leps keep playing better. La Grange pounded Orangefield 49-7 Friday in a 4A area round football playoff contest here at Rhodes Stadium, and the Leps are now one of only 16 teams left in the 4A Division II bracket.
The La Grange varsity basketball teams dropped a pair of games earlier this week. The Lep boys lost their season opener 68-59 to Rockdale despite a 33-point performance by Dylan Adkins. The Leps next play Monday Nov. 24 when they host RTC
